Return Policy

Introduction

Thank you for shopping with us! We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you have any issues, please review our refund policy below.  Due to the handmade nature, fragility of our product, and our small business size, our refund policy is limited.  However, we want to do our best to make sure that you receive the correct product and that it arrives undamaged.

Eligibility for Refunds

  1. Damaged Items: Our products are fragile.  We endeavor to pack all of our products carefully in order to prevent breakage. Damage is usually caused by careless handling during shipping.  We recommend that you check your order carefully upon receipt, especially if the package appears damaged externally.  If your package or its contents are visibly damaged upon receipt notify the shipper immediately as you probably have a claim with them.  We recommend taking pictures before and after opening your package.  Please email info@psychesclay.com the picture with your comments within 24 hours of when your package is received if damage has occurred.  This will assist in the claim from the shipper.

  2. Incorrect Items: If you receive an item different from what you ordered, please notify us within 7 days. We will either send you the correct item or provide a refund upon return receipt of the incorrect product.  The return shipment and shipping costs for the replacement product will be provided by Psyche’s Clay LLC.

  3. Defective Product:  We will usually monitor our products for some period after firing in the kiln so that any functional defects in the product will be evident before shipment.  We perform close inspection and picture documentation before shipping.  However, if you find functional defects in the product within 7 days of the receipt of your order, please contact us so that we can review the case.  Due to the handmade nature of our product nonfunctional defects may be present.  Our tier system is designed to address this fact.  Defects that affect the function of the product, especially in drinkware or dinnerware, are something that we take seriously and request that you contact us.  Replacements or refunds will be at our discretion after assessing the situation.  If we assess that there is a production defect, then we will provide a replacement or full refund.  If the decision is to replace the product, then we will provide shipment costs for the replacement.

  4. Change of Mind: We understand that sometimes preferences change. If you decide you no longer want a product, you can return it for Psyche’s Clay LLC store credit within 7 days of delivery.  Before returning any product please contact info@psychesclay.com for a return authorization and authorization number.  No return will be accepted without authorization and an authorization number.  Please note that return shipping costs will be your responsibility.  Absolutely no returns after 7 days of delivery.  No Returns or Exchanges on Sale or Clearance Items. 

  5. Restocking Fee: Unless due to an error on our part or if the product has a functional defect, the return will be subject to a 20% re-stocking fee to cover the costs of packaging, labor, and credit card fees we have incurred.  If items have already been shipped when the return is made, shipping costs will not be refunded, and the customer will be responsible for all shipping costs to return the products to Psyche’s Clay LLC.  In-store credit only is issued, no cash refunds or credit card refunds will be issued unless due to an error on our part.

 

How to Request a Refund

  1. Contact Us: Send an email to info@psychesclay.com as detailed in our return policy with your order number and a brief description of the issue. We will guide you through the process.  During this process, if applicable you will be provided with a return authorization number.  No return will be accepted without authorization and an authorization number.

  2. Return the Item: If applicable, return the product in its original packaging. We recommend using a tracked shipping method to ensure safe delivery.  Please document the condition of the product before packaging for return by taking pictures and emailing them to info@psychesclay.com.

 

Return Process

  1. Inspection: Once we receive the returned item, we will inspect it to verify eligibility for a refund.

  2. Refund or replacement: If approved, we will issue a refund or replacement as detailed in our return policy within 14 business days.

Non-Refundable Items

  1. Custom Orders:  Products made specifically for you (e.g., personalized pieces) are non-refundable unless they are functionally defective or incorrect.

  2. Sale Items: Sale or discounted items are non-refundable unless they are functionally defective or incorrect.

  3. Services:  Services provided are non-refundable.
